Privacy Policy for BudgetEase
Effective Date: September 2, 2026
1. Introduction
BudgetEase (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides BudgetEase for iOS and Android and operates this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information stays on your device, what limited information is processed by our service providers, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Process
- Budgeting data: Budgets, transaction amounts, categories, notes, and PIN data are stored locally on your device. BudgetEase does not connect to your bank and does not upload this budgeting data to our servers.
- Diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics may process crash reports, stack traces, app and operating-system versions, device information, and an installation identifier so we can diagnose stability problems. We do not add your transaction amounts, notes, categories, currency, or a custom user identifier to crash reports.
- Subscriptions: Superwall and Apple App Store or Google Play process a pseudonymous app user identifier, product and base-plan identifiers, purchase status, and subscription entitlement information needed to offer, restore, and manage Premium access. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Website and support: If you use our website or contact form, we process the information you submit. The website may also process limited analytics and cookie data as described below.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide and restore Premium subscription access.
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability and performance.
- Respond to support requests and protect our services.
- Understand aggregate website usage.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose only the limited information described above to service providers acting on our behalf, including Google Firebase, Superwall, Apple, and Google Play, or when required by law.
5. Third-Party Services
6. Retention and Deletion
Local budgeting data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data from Settings, or uninstall the App. Diagnostic, subscription, store, website, and support information is retained by us or our providers only as long as needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. You may contact us to request access to or deletion of information associated with you.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information we process. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
